Ulysses Taupo Dice Run

Craig's Comments

We are still uncertain as to the Covid restriction levels for the weekend of the event, so  plans may have to change. However, we are optimistic that it will be level 1 by that weekend.
If it is not level 1, here are some scenarios for the various alert levels.

Alert Level 1
The plans as detailed above will go ahead.

Alert Level 2 (100 person limit on gatherings)
With a 100 limit gathering restriction in place the current format of the Remembrance service  will have to change. A further update as to what is happening will be sent out closer to the weekend if level 2 is going to remain.
We are discussing contingency plans at the moment but whatever the plans put forward, we will do everything possible to ensure the event is safe and complies with the restrictions.
Many people have contacted me saying that they intend going to Taupo over Labour weekend, regardless of what is officially organised, to pay their respects.
Auckland Branch committee are looking at how everyone attending can pay their respects so that fallen members can be honoured, without a mass gathering.

Alert Level 3 The Event would be cancelled.
