Eight people attended today's Ulysses cultural outing to Sculpture on the Gulf. We caught the ferry over to Waiheke and a bus to the start of the sculpture trail, and had fun discussing which sculpture we would buy if we could only buy one. The day was sunny, the water sparkled, and the views were stunning.
Shortly before the end of the trail, we were diverted on a track down to Matiatia because of a medical emergency affecting someone (not in our group) ahead of us. From Matiatia, some of us walked up to Oneroa while others caught a bus, and we all arrived at Solar, our lunch destination, within a few minutes of each other.
After lunch, some took a bus to the ferry, while others went to the Waiheke Community Art Gallery to see more sculptures before walking back to the ferry. Quite a lot of walking today, but everyone seemed to have a good time.
