20 bikes left the Papakura Service center this morning. Ole Falkenhaug led us through back roads of Pukekohe East, Tuakau, Onewhero and Mercer for lunch at what was the Black Beagle Cafe on State Highway 2. It is now under new owners is now the Smoko Cafe. Apparently the new owners also own the Native Tree Cafe that we patronize quite a lot.
Unfortunately the ride was a bit of a shimozell to start with mostly because some corner markers did not wait until they saw the TEC and a few got lost but we all caught up eventually and met at Mercer. Our system of corner markers usually works very well but not today. It was a very good ride on a cool blustery day. Thanks to Ole Falkenhaug RIC and Sig Falkenhaug TEC.
