21 bikes and 2 trikes left the Papakura service center today on a very nice cruisie ride led by Lou Waller. We went south on the motorway and off at the Nikau road exit and down Wangarata road and headed to the Tuakau bridge. 1st stop was Port Waikato for a smoke and a comfort stop. while there Harry decided to do a bit of beach riding. Good on you Harry for giving it a go.
We left the Port and headed back to Te Kohanga following the usual roads up to Onewhero, then Logan to Pukekawa down Mercer ferry road to Mercer then onto the motorway heading south to Te Kauwhata for lunch at the Bakery Cafe.
After Lunch some headed for home while the rest of us followed the RIC winding our way out the back of Te Kauwhata to Maramarua and eventually on to back Miranda road and the ride finished at Kaiaua where we bid our farewells.
Some went up the coast to Kawakawa bay and other went up through Mangitangi. It was an excellent ride on a nice day. Thanks to Lou Waller RIC and Charlie Tee TEC.
