Eleven people riding with us today, and two more came to the meeting point to socialise. Peter Wooller led us north. The motif of the ride was "No right turns", so once we got on the motorway at Drury, we either turned left or continued straight at each intersection. We got off the motorway at Hillsborough Road, and had our first stop just past the ford at Little Huia. The next stop was the lookout at Pukematekeo. We then headed for our lunch stop, but the motif failed when part of Waitakere Road was closed by roadworks, and we had to make a right turn to get back on track. Lunch was at Kumeu Garden Hub, which has a very nice cafe with a couple of old railway cars.
