16 bikes left the Papakura service center today bound for Nikau Caves for lunch. Ole Falkenhaug led us over some nice South Waikato roads that included a few ks of gravel, one that I had not been on before that was off Island Block road that went through Meremere Village; the gravel was shortly after that. We went down to Rangiriri over the bridge and onto Huntly power station where we turned right and headed to our usual rest stop at the hall at Rotowaro. After watering the weeds and telling some lies we headed off up to highway 22 then onto the caves. I left the group on the way home as they turned off at Mercer Ferry road. A great day enjoyed by us all. Thanks to Ole Falkenhaug RIC and Tony Kay TEC.
