Karaka 10 Nov

Tuesday ride. I was to lead the group to Pirongia but decided to can that until next week because of the crappy weather forecast. I led 8 bikes and a black ute with two usual riders that didn't want to get wet on a local tiki tour around the Franklin area. The first stop was the top of Pukekohe Hill and then the Elbow on the Waikato river, then we carried on through Aka Aka, Otaua, and Waiuku stopping off at Waitangi Falls.

By that time the weather was looking threatening so we headed off to the General Store Cafe at Karaka. By the time we got there it was persisting down and we all got suitably wet except for the two wooseys in the ute. After lunch we all headed for home. I think we all enjoyed a short ride even though it ended a bit wet.

Thanks to Tony Kay for being TEC.
