19 bikes met at the Papakura service Center this morning but only 14 came on the ride. John Stephens led us all over God's half acre that included the back roads of Papakura, Ponga Road, Hunua, Clevedon, Whitford, and around all those eastern beaches stopping at Maraetai for a smoke then on to Kawkawa Bay and down the coast to Kaiaua (always a nice ride) to the Pink Cafe for lunch. The ride ended there and we all went our separate ways home. It was a nice ride on a nice day. Thanks to John Stephens RIC and Tony Kay TEC.
As a matter of interest, there were 3 birthday boys on the ride today and we all got to sing happy birthday to them instigated by Lou Waller.
