FISH & CHIPS, We got to where I said we would, with no unexpected changes of plan or destination, don't fall over backwards guys, sometimes I do follow the rules, LOL !!
10 riders turned up for the ride. A quick pre-ride briefing detailing the route I was taking and calling for a tail end charlie, (thanks Audie Ayris) and we were off. We used the corner marking system which worked very well, particularly so, with the assistance of 2 long standing club members who came along on the ride. Both Brian Morwood and John Fraser read the situation very well and took it upon themselves to stop and mark some corners at their own discretion. Was fantastic, the ride went very smoothly and no one got lost. Thanks again guys, it's good to have the help which makes everyone's day even better.
As usual, we took a circuitous route, Bombay, Managatawhiri, Maramarua Forest, onto Tahuna-Ohinewai Rd, onto Highway 27 for a short while, then a quick right turn into Kaihere Road along the Piako River, skirted Ngatea, crossed State Highway 2, and then into Back Miranda Road, along the coast to Kaiaua for yummy as always Fish and Chips in the sunshine. Homeward bound, everyone present decided to make their own way. What a fantastic day, riding with club mates. Thanks to all who came along to share the fun.
